my nearest venue besides my local is half an hour away, and some people from waikerie drive to renmark each week for a second game (approx 50 minutes away). you city folk are lucky.

Well the decision was made to play the Highlander, the forum gang was there and Bacon.

No I'll get in first before Scotty or Bacon.

Blinds had just gone to 200/400, I'm in mid position on the table I had been fairly aggressive since the break, the player to my right has gone all in for 200, I have been dealt pocket Kings, I decided to make a hefty bet of 3400, to get rid of the chasers, Bacon is to my left consideres his options and then decides to re-raise all in, all the other live players fold.

That leaves Bacon, The 200 All in and me to make the decision to call or not, I instant call.

The Flop is 292
The Turn is a 9

The river is a 2

That gives the board a boat, I have a baot with my poket kings

Bacon has a boat with his pocket Aces

The short stack all makes 4 of a kind with J2

After the hand was concluded the player to the left of Bacon had pocket Aces folded because he was away from the table and the big and small blinds both folded a king.

After that I decided to give the 2nd game a miss and get some shuteye.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

my thoughts exactly

with a massive raise like that, you pretty much fold out anything less than Jacks or Queens or Aces from bacon - so you are not getting any value from the hand. i mean the fact that bacon had aces is just bad luck, but if he had 10s, he is folding, and you are getting no value at all from the hand

Yep. Bacon WILL be folding anything but QQ up (JJ is a possible fold here). Obv very hard to fold KK here to a shove, you are only beat by one hand. Go to valuetown, though.

I think you're both right here, but it's NPL afterall and people would be calling with a wider range of hands
