I'll put this thread back on track.
Come on Krunchie.
You had a discusion with Mr Robbie about this subject, Skill V Luck, you defended the skill side of the arguement.
Whilst we all think we are skillful players but we all should fess up that everyone of us who have won an NPL game, there has been a element of luck in winning, as recently as last Tuesday night I have JJ shove and get called by QQ, I make the 3rd J on the river there was no skill in that, it was luck and I went on to win the night.
Iintimidation well that can come in many forms, the 2 most common are trash talking and bullying with a big chip stack.
I have used a chip stack to intimidate players on a final table a few times, the memorable one was the Friday night of the Deep stack weekend at Berri, I went to final table with a 4 to 1 chip stack which I used a few time to bluff players to fold.
I have also watched Macca do exactly the same thing using his stack to put doubt in opponents minds, in the process he played a mixture of weak and strong hands to take out 7 of the 9 players who made final table, I suppose mac's rep also played a part.
I the end this is turbo poker you will need a element of luck and skill to win, I support Mac's position that at final table blinds should be capped calculated on the number of chip in play. ie. 26 runners there will be approximatly 100,000 in chips in play, therefore blinds could be capped at 5000/10000.
If I get a Gath "shrug"
