Awesome, you can be with all Gen Y's and listen to doof-doof, put up with half a dozen emo's and sit around with the rest updating their statuses.

Re: Waikerie Club, Sun Dec 12th, 1k Guarantee
Ok, we've still got a bit of time to fine tune the details.
I went to the Gol-Gol Golf Club a few months ago with Tim Bredl and Peter Gourzis and played in a Deepstack that was a $100 buy-in, and the blind levels and antes were just about spot-on.
Tim Bredl was licking his lips saying that this-was his type of game, and i had to agree.
I will get it as close as i can to that structure. But they started 10am and i think went to at least 8 pm.
Can you guys put what you think would be the best start times, and finish times, and i will set all the levels in-between.
Keep in mind travel time that other players will have to leave at, to get there by, and then get home again, as it is a Sunday after all.
I personally think 9 oclock is getting late on Sunday night.
Also, here's an excerpt from an e-mail i got today --- " I was in Melbourne yesterday for discussions on the March GF at Crown. We visited Crown to check out the set up possibilities and it all looks like it’s going to be the GF to top all 888PL events to date " --- That was from Tim Harry.
Do you think that 2 grand final tickets is a good prize instead?
Its gonna be a $10 buy- in and Neville is putting up for the tickets or $1K for first, so do you wanna make it a T10000 start stack, and you can re-buy T10000 again if you bust out for another $10 - a double chance tourny or reperchage tourny basically? Just to build your prizepool for what is gonna be a long tourny, and you may want it to offer something decent for placings that you earnt.
Or start with T20000 for $20 or leave it at $10?
I'd almost say leave it at $10 as i can run plenty of SNG's to keep people amused. Nev justs wants punters there having a good time and playing poker.
Most people have a budget when they attend these things and if i were to put an estimate on it it would be an average of $50 for food/drinks and $50 for poker buy-in and maybe a few SNG's if they bust out early.
Its your dream event so you guys tell me what you want and i'll do my best to sort it.

Re: Waikerie Club, Sun Dec 12th, 1k Guarantee
I think that 12:30pm is a good start time, running until about 9pm at the latest. Its only an hour to nuri and 2 hours to adelaide, so i think its not super late. I dont think an earlier start time would work, especially with people driving from renmark or nuri.
Personally i'd prefer T20000 for $20 i think. The difference between $10 and $20 is bugger all, and wouldn't effect runners i dont think, but would generate a bigger prize pool than a double chance tourney i think (where not every person pays $20, unless of course your second chance can be used as an add on at some point - this would be good).
and i'd also be happy with the prize structure being 2 grand final tickets, with the buy ins paying the remainder of the final table, or even being payed out as more GF tickets.
Lets say (conservatively) 60 runners x $20 = another two and a bit tickets, or (best case scenario) 100 x $20 = another four tickets. Having said that, a normal style payout structure would also be fine.
