Starting stack size was a BIG selling point for this weekend for me.

I would be very disappointed it stack size was reduced - its a long way to go to play poker!

I completely understand the difficulties you might have in actually coming up with that many chips, but as someone that booked early on the basis of 300 people, 20k starting stack, that is what I'd like to see.

It is also pretty harsh on those that booked a room on the understanding it was the only way to get entry, and now there is cheaper accommodation available.

:D :D (emoticons added as this post sounds a little harsher than I intended it)

disclaimer: the price of the accommodation doesn't bother me as I'm sharing with 2 others, however I'm sure it will bother some.

It bothers me too, but you'll need to speak to Des about that.

It was always stated that accommodation bookers would get preference, not the only way to gain entry. :P

I think if they raise it to 400 entrants, then you may be able to get away with 15,000 starting stacks.

But I'll leave all that, and the logistics up to the wonderful Garth (and with help from Annabelle I'm sure), and his awesome team.

How many people have registered for the tournament?

Does anyone know of any other accommodation available (now that the resort is booked out)?

I'm still processing the feasibility of the trip

I am not saying that it will be decreased just a possibility.
10,000 is still a deep stack especially with blinds starting at 25/50
if you started with 20,000 at AM or WSOP then blinds commence at 100/200.

I will endeavor to keep it to the original guidelines, but if we have had this sort of response in such a short time then it is going to be a big event!!!!
