Does that means possibly more than top 5 from Challenge series home games will qualify?
Not that it matters to me, I am in top 5 in more than one, but if they are separating SA/Vic for the challenge Semi (I never really thought about it before, but sounds right) does that mean only top 5 qualify, maybe 2 from Vic and 3 from SA or however it works out or top 5 from each state?

The top 5 from each home game will qualify for their respective finals.

I.E - Top 5 of Home Challenge event

1st -Victorian Qualifies for Vic Challenge Final
2nd - South Australian Qualifies for SA Challenge Final
3rd - Tasmanian Qualifies for Victorian Challenge Final
4th - South Australian Qualifies for SA Challenge Final
5th - Victorian Qualifies for Vic Challenge Final

No more players qualify.

exactly whyI think the online stuff should be made seperate,

ie we should only be allowed to play against other players in there respective home state...

I think, since we are a national competition, that it is fine. I like being able to compete against some Mexicans :)
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

Integrated Online and In Venue National Competition.

And what about Tasmania? Western Australia? New South Wales? Etc....
That lobby is hard enough to navigate now without each game been replicated for each state.
The results take enough time without trippling up our workload.

What is the grievance with playing members from other states or even nations?

I like it.

SA Semi Finals
Vic Semi Finals

then everyone comes together for the Grand Final.

It's a bit like NFL really. AFC conference and NFC conference. Winners of each come together for the SuperBowl!

krunchie wrote:Really ? only 400

I thought i would be more than that with the existing old system numbers + extras that have qualified from the on line system.
I mean i think we started with 407 last state finals ( benny the cunt's tourney)
I just imajined numbers of 5 or 600 due to the influx of online qualifiers.

ok, so there are 4 foundation games a day

12pm, pre game stretch, 730, 1030

thats 20 players a day, 140 a week to qualify.

because people don't get taken off the leaderboards if they qualify for more than one, then there will be less than this. assume that there is a 25% redundancy in these numbers (pure guess). also assume a 50% split between vic and sa.

thus, number of extra qualifiers = 140 * 0.75 * 0.5 = 53 extra players.

this number might even be less than this, because people that qualify online might also be top 5 at a pub.

i think its great to be able to compete with people from other states. the grand final is going to be awesome, because there will be a whole new group of players to play against, instead of the same old people (its surprising how many people you know from state finals)

I agree with benny the cunt here and others here. You get a chance to play against your fellow statesmen during the semis and the nationals gives you an opportunity to play against different players from different states with different skills. Makes for interesting poker and who knows you might make a few interstate friends.

We should be seeded by our positions on the leaderboard and then spread out accordingly so that benny the cunt will have to wait a while before sending me to the rail.

Good points you bring up with the lobby stuff & results.

Is their any chance for next season that we can have the luxury of an online leaderboard section where it shows all your places on the 1 page on, cause atm Im (Like Everyone else) are having too go through each game slot too check where we are sitting... It's a nightmare trying too sift through every game!

I am working on it.

January 1st, 2010 will be a great day.

We are actually working on a brief of all changes needed for the website and our admin tool.
