Ok, so last chance tonight.

Was going ok yesterday until my allin preflop QQ < 10 10, when the ole 10 on the river trick got me again!!

If I can avoid those 10's tonight, I might have half a chance....

Money shipped to "bennyjams"

I am extremely disappointed with myself for not pulling this off. I really set this as a major target. Well done benny the cunt for winning the bet, but also thank you for making this bet a reality. I really needed the shot in the ass to wake me up and start playing proper poker again, and although I have had a few bad beats throughout the week, I know that this week has made me a better poker player, and I am sure the run bad will soon sort itself out and I'll be a better poker player for the effort (hopefully around 12MAR11).

id love to delve deeper into your thinking behind this bet Jmack

its ok to set goals and to take them serioulsly but i dont think this "stunt" dare i say it was a real goal.

What was your real goal here, and what were you hoping to achieve

to say you are dissapointed in yourself because you didnt win 1 tourney in 5 or 6 trys is rediculous

name one person that has a 1 win in 6 game record in MTT's no mater how soft you belive the field is.

i belive you set an unrealistic goal, to say your disapointed with yourself is unrealistic.

Mate, every time I set myself a goal and don't achieve it, I am always extremely dissapointed. This was a real goal I set myself, not a "stunt". If it was a stunt, I certainly would not have taken benny the cunt's extremely low odds.

As I said, this was all about giving me the shot in the ass to really focus on what I was doing at the poker events that I was playing. I have felt myself getting complacent, not playing the way I used to, and my results have slipped dramatically as a result (I haven't had a live win in over 2 months). I certainly didn't think this goal was unrealistic if I put my mind to it, and I might even do it again some day.

I am not the sort of guy that sets goals that are easy to achieve.

I am playing better poker for it though.

Try it yourself (not necessary to have the bet, just tell yourself you are going all out to win 1 of your next 5 events), then tell me if you find yourself playing better poker for it or not.....
