if you cant put your money where your mouth is, then bragging isn't worth anything at all.

No need for sarcasm.

Surely you'd rather play for money as well.
Who wouldn't.

It's poker.

benny the cunt I can see both sides of this. Basically it would be a DoN... Alternatively, each league could put up some extra cash, thus showing their willingness to support and back their players so that it wasn't just a double up...

Perhaps, the leagues could put up the individual players prizes between them i.e. heads up winner, SnG winner, freeze out winner but the overall money paid by the players is handed over to the winning team.

don't let this degenerate into a slanging match.

but its pretty simple if you ask me. if you think you are the best, then why wouldn't you want to put your hard earned up to prove it?

if the prize structure is a DoN, then make it $500 or 1k buyin.

if we are going to do this, why be a pussy about it?

I doubt I will be representing either team, so I have no agenda here. But I would think that myself personally would much rather spend that kind of $'s on a tournament with a far more substantial prize pool if I had the choice.

I think $100 buy in per player (thus $4k total) plus $1K each from the leagues would make it sufficiently competitive and worthwhile playing for both the cash and bragging rights.

Then we do this

Team vs team as per previously requested.
Winning team IS the winning team.

Then the highest scorers from either team play an MTT for the prize money, top X being paid.

Makes the day worth it.

That sounds like it would work. Good idea Dave.
