i was up and down like a yoyo from the moment i came onto the feature table. it wasn't the greatest day of poker for me.

i tilted myself because of the play of others, but that is my fault, not theirs.

i can count about 4 separate instances where i was in late position, there were a couple of limpers, i would raise and then they would stack off with hands like KJ, AT, etc. problem was, they always had me dominated. but the passive play threw me off a bit, and i wasn't good enough to recover.

I loved the feature table on Saturday. 8k => 150k in about 2 hours.

Shame I didn't know what to do with it.

Quite frankly I was both intimidated and excited to have played on your table, I have learned so much from you (and others) that it was great to actually get the chance to play on your table.

I have to ask, I did notice you never limp? if you play you raised each and every time. (I lie, I think I saw you limp one maybe two times.)

Personally I found that really frustrating.. because I had good hands, but I didn't want to throw away 2-3x blinds on the chance I might hit, rather than just having pocket Aces or Kings.

For example, I had Ks Js, I limped in and there was 1 other limper. You raised, I really wanted to call that, but didn't because I had to rely far too much on the chance I might hit.

One person called you and I felt that frustrated you a bit?

Personally, I thought you played well, because you made me consider each and every hand I played.

My only line of thinking was I noticed how frustrated you got by being called when you did raise and you seemed to concentrate so much on what other chipstacks there were on the table. It seemed to be something that could have been exploited (if someone was a good enough player).

Not sure I follow what other people chipstacks have to do with your play? (If that question makes sense).
I personally never take notice of what is around, is this something I should be reconsidering when I do play?? What is the benefit to knowing other chipstacks around you?

If you raise enough Caroline, it means the player might be risking 1/3 - 1/2 of their chip stacks... and then they should be shoving. (wish I'd done that on Saturday).

Being aware of how much your opponent has is important.

It affects your own betting and play. Some moves are made almost entirely on your opponent's stack size, relative to the pot.
