lol i was watching negranu and mike the mouth playing on the high stakes poker show on http://www.pokertube.com
lol daniel said to mike "when u raise with crap, and they fold, then you think its a genius play by you. but if they call with KK, and u get busted, then you just got unlucky."
i think this suits a lot of people in NPL
you expect them to give you respect when they raise, but they dont earn that respect.

Re: Table Trash Talk
Table talk should be kept between the players in the hand and everyone else should keep quiet
Trash talk is another story
It creates atmosphere and as long as it is kept friendly and fun it is a good laugh. The venues i play at it happens all the time with regular players giving each other shit all for laughs especially at the Parafield Gdns. Even when a new player joins the tourney they cop it too as its a good way to break the ice and helps them relax. No one is spared whether its male or female. Soon most of the players and TDs are involved and it makes for a fun night.

Re: Table Trash Talk
Thanks Goose for not mentioning my name. I'm in enough poo on here already. LOL.
A new guy played on my table last night, well not mine really but then again? Anyway when he sat down I introduced myself and told him how lucky he was to be at my table LOL.
We had a good group and as you know I like to have a little bit of fun now and then. He was amused when I told him he needed to split his winning pots with me coz I said hello to him first.. LOL.
When he won the first hand I reminded to give me half. He was about too but the others started laughing and I said I was only joking.
After the first break he said he was so happy that he sat next to me as he enjoyed himself so much. It made me feel a little better too as I was getting smashed on some good hands.
But your right in saying we have a good time at the Gardens. There's a great group of people there every week and we all seem to get along pretty damned good.
We have a good time, it's like family. We do have a go at each other from time to time but it's all tongue in cheek. Sometimes serious but never nasty, hey????
I think I'm gonna have to re-join you guys on table one over the final weeks though Goose, as I really need to get a final table and into the points.
See you on the felt next week M8.

Re: Table Trash Talk
Great post Bob!
That's one reason that's absolutely standout for me in why I keep playing NPL.
I have met so many nice people and made many new friends and every single one of them can give and take the parlay without being ridiculously oversensitive and getting offended over nothing. I find it almost always makes for an enjoyable evening and I always look forward to next time.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: Table Trash Talk
After events that transpired tonight between two players due to trash talking i can assure all players at my venues that i will be cracking down on trash talking. I will also be urging my fellow TD's to do the same. There is a diference between friendly banter and getting personal and nasty. So to all my players i dont want to hear stuff such as "Your a donkey how did you play that crap" etc.
Also please understand that we do draw new players every night and that their ability may not be the highest, but they still be treated with respect, after all we were all new players once. Also guys we all get sucked out on occasionally its part of the game, frustrating as it may its still no excuse to verbally attack another player.

Re: Table Trash Talk
haha that makes it look like I was involved in what matty was talking about (I wasn't).
And yes, everyone should remember it's only slander if it's not true and not to get so upset about it
JOKING PEOPLE!
