Hi guys,

I'm trying to player in the Ashes freeroll and $t on 888 but I'm being told I'm unable to register in these restricted tournaments!
The problem is that my 888 account was created a year or so ago and because I didn't register thru the NPL site I cant play in these restricted tournaments.
I spoke to online support at 888 and they said contact the NPL (nice handball)
My question then, is it possible to sort this out without taking my cash out of 888, closing my account and re downloading 888poker from the NPL site? Seems like a big hassle
any help with this would be greatly appreciated
thanks

I think someone from the NPL could contact 888 about it. I don't think you should have to go through all that to get in. Hopefully someone will let you know here.

maybe uninstalling and re-downloading from the NPL site?

that shouldn't mean u have to create a new account

I'm not sure that will work - we were advised to start up a new account during the championship weekend when Jen and the 888 team were here pushing the promotion.

It's a common issue with specific site promotions and offers - a website affiliate might offer a special tourney or promotion for people who download the software and sign up to an account through their link. These offers are only ever available to those that haven't already started an account with the particular poker site. (As most sites are very strict on people owning multiple accounts)

I could be wrong however - as the others have said, un-installing 888 and then re-installing through the link on the forum, and using your existing account, may just solve the problem.

You can be the test case, Milly :)

Not to sure bennymacca i think if i re install 888 and set up my new account with my existing username they will say that this account already exists.

Macca meant to simply sign in with your existing login details, after re-installing. It's the tracking cookie contained in the links that should enable you to play the NPL satellites.

There are still standard 888 Ashes freerolls that you should have no problem registering for - the only qualification there is that you are an Aussie player.

Hi Millys,

Please email me your 888 user ID & I will get you added to the NPL affilliate list. You are right, because you downloaded 888 a while back & not through the NPL portal then it is not tracking you so not allowing you to enter the tournaments. Once you get this to me I supply it to Jen who in turn gets you linked in.

Same goes for anyone else experiencing the same problem. Just email your 888 user ID & I will get you added to the list.

support.sa@npl.com.au

Cheers!
