I know the subject line isn't the best grammar, but its late.
I was doing a list up for our players and thought it would make for good discussion by a few on here.
Most Wins
20 - Ian Howarth
16 - Trevor Swanbury
15 - Fred Fuller
14 - Nadi Loulas
14 - Brian Dempsey (13 regular +1 Regional)
12 - Reece Smith
11 - Matt McDonald (10 regular +1 Regional)
11 - Jenny Hambi
11 - Graham Baldwin
10 - Steven Valente
9 - Jackson Rogers
9 - Rikki Cox
8 - Peter Gourzis (7 regular +1 Regional)
7 - Con Alexandropolous (6 regular +1 Regional)
7 - Dino Sigismondi
7 - Kon Kourbelis
6 - Neil Ward
6 - Clint Binder
6 - John Tanner
6 - George Gourzis
6 - Adam Dunstan
6 - Kon Sourtzis
5 - Bill Kanakaris
5 - Jason Kassulke
5 - Andrew Stivahtaris
5 - Andrew Gaskin
5 - Adrian Sumner
Lot of names and not a lot of wins compared to you metro guys, but the majority of this list, play only 1 or 2 games a week.
Interesting when you match up games played against wins.
Like Con Alexandropolous (or Droppo for ease of typing)
Droppo only played two seasons and has more wins than "good/solid" players have over 10 seasons.
Macca also, plays a majority of his games at one venue.
Its also interesting the players that aren't even on this list.
Where's Tim Bredl - Definately a Top 5 player in the Riverland.
Also - Steven Valente and Jackson Rogers never play to make States/Champs, they just play because they love it and like to win.
They have 19 wins between them and they play all sorts of venues intermittently, and would have played half the games of most people below them on the list. But their games-to-points made-ratio is not good.
IMO the ultimate player has a good games-to-points/cash ratio, but can also show they can regularly win 1 in 4 times you make the points.
