Country vs City---Which Region is The Best ??

I would like to start constructive input into the above titled post

preface---not knowing exact numbers/ details of the Teams Event final placings and nos/team playing and forward plannings for the Event The following are comments and observations to instill comment and response-

The Barossa venues entered three teams in the Teams Event along with the Kingsford Dream team there may be others I'm not aware of. The Kingfords Dream team playing off in the final three tables with the Family One Team { North east region?} and Team one Staffers.
These four teams finished in the Top Eleven of all entered Teams approx 50 teams ---> 50 x 8 = 400 players. ie 32 players in the top 88 Finalists. = 36.7 % not Bad for one region ! . nb I dont have access to other regions nos and challenge other regions and TD's to compare their standings.
My Comment and Congratulations-- To Darren and Matty Norwood as Matty is the regular TD of all four team/venues in the Barossa Region entered, for developing and encouraging the standard of play, and team spirit, and all things in NPL poker , here in the GAWLER BAROSSA KAPUNDA / CLARE region.

I'd like to see this Teams Event continue on say at least once a year basis. The Staff be participants in the Event on any equal basis [ the best staff team only accured 48pts ? and finished 15-20 on the finalists ladder . Perhaps they could have a trophy amongst them selves. .The points scoring be non culmative into the second and final rounds .
Why not have teams of 4 players and use a similar points talling system.

some thought starters.
go Barossa - go grow NPL. :-)

Hell YES the teams event should continue. The only reason I didn't register is because a week after registrations were open, they were out of spots, so my mates and I didn't bother. I'd love to see more team games in the future, and the inclusion of NPL staff is a great added bonus.

As for the region debate, does that really matter?

of course it matters, pride is everything! Its funny that this season we are seeing a lot of city players venturing to gawler to play some tourneys in the hope of qualifying for the freeroll i guess, but they are mostly sucking! (along with me i might add)

come on barossa/gawler, best region in the state!

ill definitely be entering a team for the next event as well.

Bruce, does anything south of the B&G = city for you? :)

there's NE,NW,CBD,South and god knows what else.

I'm currently toying with the idea of bringing a NE team up to teach you guys a lesson :D

Teams event was great and I'd love to see more of them.

An event like this should most definitely continue. It's obviously a major logistical challenge to organise these sorts of events, and can I just say that those behind the event and the running of on the day should be applauded.

People did approach us with their suggestions and (one or two) grievances on the day, with the main point being they would like to see a future event have all teams as equals, ie move away from the "Staff vs the rest" format that was the basis for this event.
