First we played in the casinos, then we played in pubs, and now you can travel across the country ON A TRAIN playing the game you love.
The Poker Train bought to you by Poker Deluxe and 888PL will be the first of its kind to travel from Adelaide to Melbourne and back with an exclusive carriage for Poker players only!
Be the first to experience the Poker Train in full flight with the chance to win $1000* cash whilst on your journey interstate.
We are currently taking bookings for the Poker Train which will be pulling out of the Adelaide station on Friday morning the 3rd of June with the return Journey leaving Melbourne on Saturday the 4th of June. You have the ability to book a return journey or one way if you would like to stay longer. By pre booking early enough you may be able to pick up cheap return flights.
The cost is $275 which includes your train fare, an allocated seat on a second carriage if you want to chill out from a bad beat, your $50 buy-in for the tournament, lunch and $20 to spend at the pokershop.
The carriage is limited to only 48 players so book your ticket now so you don't miss out!

That would be great fun if it went over Friday and came back Monday

Can't happen like that guys.
We have a special carriage added to the train just for us, a carriage that cannot be left in Melbourne. It has to come back on the very next trip.

That's the consensus.
Would it be easier if we packaged it up; Train over Friday, Accom Friday and Saturday night and then flight back Sunday evening?
What would you be willing to pay for this?

Re: The Poker Train
to be honest, i would rather just the price for the train over there, as most of us have different accommodation arrangements - some like to stay at crown plaza and some in backpackers. similarly some will fly tiger and some qantas etc etc.
$275 one way is about the max i would be willing to pay for this, tbh i think it is slightly on the pricey side given that i could fly over with tiger for $40 and play a $100 tourney at crown and save myself $100

Thanks benny the cunt.
I think we would be better off offering this as $1,500 tournament with a $200 rake/admin fee or something.
It might be a worthwhile consdieration.
$20,000 GTD tournament and we satellite players into it? I don't think it would be widely supported in Adelaide as it is a poorer market, but perhaps in VIC.

this i am much more interested in. that would be really cool as a leadin event to the grand final.
even a $500 tourney with a $250 admin fee for train trip, lunch, whatever would be good.
