Hey all,

A few of us are venturing down to the Palais to catch up with some people (Des/JK etc) and check out this venue as people seem to be raving about it!

Myself, OndieJ, BigPete, Ondie's Dad Dzil, and Ondie's girlfriend Ali/top lil aussie will be heading down for the road trip to play away.

So so sick that a donkey won that.

I was going to go though the hand.. but theres no point, obviously people with a 14% chance of winning a pot worth 30.5k will actually call and put their tournament life on the end to spike 1 of 3 cards which he can win with, and then dodge 5 outs on the turn and 8 outs on the river to take the pot down.

And then continue on a sick run of cards at the final table with KK AA and AA and slow roll them against someone who is all in.

Losing is part of poker... but when you have AA and then do a speech and take your time before calling is just downright rude and disrespectful to the other players and really shows how much of a donkey you really are and that you deserve no respect whatsoever in winning a 69 player tournament.

As for the NorEasterners... thanks for coming down, hope you had a great time and look forward to playing with you guys and girls again.

Can't help but agree with Des.

Speeches about how pov you are and how likely you are to lose when you have AA (and the biggest stack by a mile) are just bad acting and insulting to other players.

He who had the biggest ears won

Overall I feel those of us from the Northeast held our own quite well and most if not all of us got knocked out by donkey hands rather than good hands/good play.

Have to apologise to Nathan, looks like you owe Alex a 6 pack mate.

6 vs 60+ were only good odds for a donkey tho!

Congrats to Ondie J's sister Mel who came in 2nd (also from the North East). Is now the appropriate time to mention it was her 4th game?

To all of you guys from NE, thanks for coming down last night ... Added another element to the evening, and was great to meet you all ... I would suggest you all acquitted yourself extremely well, especially BigPete (I didn't actually see you play, but I spotted the T-Shirt immediately) ... Hope to catch up with y'all again in the near future!

Great night last night!

I think I ended up around 18th. I went all in with $4k when the BB was $2k, had A9 I think. Unfortunately some lass named Eva had KK and with a board of QQQ95 (or something similar) my full house wasn't as full as hers.

Great crowd down there, very welcoming people. Great to catch up with Des and JK again. Alex was a great TD and Andre did as good a job as his TA.

All in all, if only I got down there earlier for tea I would have been happier!!
