We mourn the passing of a great player and friend to many

The South West Region will certainly feel the change and will not be able to replace one of their most dedicated and consistent players. Anthony Splatt commonly known as "Splatty" passed away last weekend from a sudden illness and will be sadly missed by all.

Splatty wouldn't miss a game. A resident Colac man would travel on a weekly basis to venues as far as Cobden to Portland and Geelong. He was one of the first registered players in south west region and made every Season Final since beginning his poker career.

Splatty would attend poker with the weekly leaderboards,and at season finals he would be the one everyone would look for as the representative for the south west region. He fine tuned all the rules and regulations and if there was any question on how many points you got for the night, he was the man with the numbers.

This man was certainly a team player, loved by all, and a space that will never be filled. Rest In Peace Big Fella.

I had the honour of meeting Anthony on several occasions, a softly spoken giant of a man who loved his poker and the friends he made through poker. He will be sorely missed by the playing community. Here at 888Pl we would like to forward our condolences to his family and friends.
