888PL $10 TC Bounty Event @ Tigers Clubhouse
Posted: Sat Nov 28, 2009 7:15 pm
Today Tigers Clubhouse hosted the first ever Victorian Tournament Captain Bounty Event!!
With a $10 buy-in, an impressive crowd of 42 came down for the event, four of whom were Tournament Captains; Chris Kavanagh, Ernie Paterson, Jason Cogo and myself. Of course, whoever eliminated a TC received the $10 bounty!
At the first break only Jason had used a passport, so it was looking good for the TCs.
The first to surrender their bounty was in fact Jason, with Dane Atkin's A 7 standing strong against Jason's K 10, ninety minutes into the game. In the same blind session, Chris Kavanagh pushed with A 10 and was beaten by RJ McCaw's 4 6.
On the two hour mark I was taken out by Paul Florence, his Q 4 strong against my J 9.
No doubt quite pleased with his "last TC sitting" status, Ernie quickly had the smile wiped off his face when Mel Afferi's pocket queens held up against his A K and saw him crash out in 13th!! Mel went on to 2nd place with Joshua Foster the event winner and $160 better off!!!
A big thankyou to everyone who attended today's event and made it a great afternoon!!
For those who didn’t, be sure to head down to Tigers Clubhouse next Saturday to get in amongst the action and bag yourself a TC!!!
