I am not missing the point, I get what you are saying and why you think you should be given more than the $18. A pro-rata payout based on chip stacks is what you feel is owing to you.

But I think at that stage of the tournament, a even split between all remaining is fair.

i suppose this is one of those things where different people will have different opinions. even the sites are differing in the way they handle this situation (it has happened to me on FT and 888 now)

sorry guys but i think its dodgy they would pay based on chips, you havent finished the tournament so why should you get more cash than anyone else because of a technical glitch... if it didnt happen you may have been out three hands later... you didnt win the game why should you get more than equal split???

it wasnt a cash game, it was a buy in tourney. if a cash game dies you keep whatever cash you have so there is no comparisson between the two situations.

If it is in the money, then a pro-rate split based on chip stack is the way to go. But out of the money, there is still far too much chance for position and chip stack change.

For example, there are certian tournaments prior to an FT, I sometimes prefer to not be a chip leader. If a site crashes and pays out based on chip stack, this is unfair to me.

Everyone plays differently and I am not about to give everyone a complete run down of how I play as I play you all online. But at times yes, I am happy to not be a chip leader at a particular stage of a tournament.

Who are you to question how someone else plays? I bet, in fact I know, she has done a lot better than you have at poker and perhaps it is precisely because opponnents think her strategy is flawed when in actual fact it is very effective.
