players that play 5 times a week are rare these days, although lisa (redheadsrock) is prolly one of these players.

Not anymore! Why would I? I believe I would only disadvantage myself as there are more points to be gained playing online.

Not really since I presume the DreamTeam will still be an average of Live and Online combined, effectively it is time management and developing a strategy of where you can maximise you points in both areas.

I don't really respect the sarcasm at all Lisa.

I have asked for feedback and am listening to players and what they want.

It would have been much politer to simply say; I think the points multipliers need re adjusting as I feel it unfairly advantages online players.

I would have listened to and respected those type of comments.

I thank everyone else for their constructive feedback and I will be re visiting the home game fixture very shortly and re posting my new proposal.

the points multiplier is a moot point

everyone that chases the dream team at the moment knows that the murrin and AK rebuys are the only tourneys you need to play to get enough points

the murrin currently runs in prime time.

so what is the difference?

the difference is that people will have to pony up $10 or $20 for the big points, which will naturally limit the size of the fields.

and as wabbit said, you still need to get good points from 10 away games to do well

I think maybe the points multiplier is a bit generous.
Based on quick workings
If you play the $20 event and only get 20 players and you finish 15th you would still get 300 points. 15 x 20
Where as at an away event with 5 times multipler with 100 runners you would need to finish 10th to get same points.

Also 1st from 20 with x 20 mulitpler would get 800
Same as 1st from 100 x 5 mulipler
Not sure too fair.

maybe for all games $10 and above online, they should get a 10x multiplier

this would mean winning the online game with 20 runners is the same as winning the live game with 40 runners, which i think is ok for the big buyin online games

Apologies Garth – I was merely pointing out the advantages to the player of the proposed system.

I am sure you will devise a system that is fair & equitable to all.

If you get 15th in a 20 field , 20 x game you will get

20 (runners) x .25 x 20 (multiplyer) = 100 + 10 for rego = 110 total

1st from a 100 field in a 5 x game is :

100 (runners) x 1.6 x 5 (multiplyer) = 800 + 10 rego = 810

1st in a 20 field , 20 x game is 640 points total !
When choosing between the 2 evils , I like to choose the 1 i haven't tried yet !

I wouldn't ever want to be in your position Garth...

Fair and Equitable I'm guessing is something that can never truly be achieved, from what I've seen in this post Point's online have a big advantage over those in venues, which I don't think will be the case since its an average both online and venues. It could also be said that City folk have a significant advantage over Country folk, more venues more choice It could easily be argued that may be country venues should have a higher points multiplier than City ones (then city folk will drive each weekend out to country venues (200 runners in berri on a sunday afternoon))

I'm thinking that points for coming first inthe $20 & $10 tournys should be about same as that for coming first in a Venue Challange Tournament and the smaller tournys should have points that equate to that of smaller venues.

Either way theres a lot more opportunity to get points faster online than at venues, thats because you can play a lot more games. But without really knowing the numbers that will buy into the online games there could still be a lot more points up for grabs at venues.
