The way I see it, Trishan's idea has a chance at making a likely small ROI, Sarah's has potential for a huge ROI.

I know which one I would choose, but I like to gamble.....

;)

FWIW I disagree with this. A person who guesses correctly does not only immediately get the $1000 ticket but he gets the opportunity to then win the WSOP package and then win a prize in WSOP of which he takes 100%.

Whether one or the other idea has a better ROI will depend on the skill of the person who wins the ticket through the guessing game compared to the skill of the person selected to be staked. If an poor-average player wins the ticket having guessed correctly then their probability of running deep in the SW&JH event is obviously lower than if someone with a high skill was selected to be staked.

I think when Garth said ROI here, he meant ROI for the FHG rather than players in which case a guessing game has the potential to exceed the $1000 ticket value whereas a staking deal would not.

I think it goes without saying that any staking deal should naturally include a piece of any WSOP or AM cashes giving access to potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars for FHG.
