not to sound rude, but i have never heard a good, solid, winning poker player complain about a site being rigged. it is always the horrible players that get lucky and then think that their luck will continue indefinitely.

when you do a quick calculation about how much rake these sites pull in per day, it is ridiculous to think they would rig the cards. adding to that, 888 poker is a very small part of 888 as a whole, which includes casino and sports betting, all of which are regulated in the uk, so for them to risk losing their whole business on rigging cards to produce a slight increase in rake for a small part of their business would be the stupidest thing ever. well second stupidest thing ever, behind thinking online poker is rigged.

I am sorry but have to agree. I do not see anyone claiming it is rigged when they hit their one outer on the river or their pocket 2s hit a one card flush against pocket aces. It is variance and if you continue to play your cards in the most + ev way you will end up a winner in the long run which is what you have to focus on not the bad beats.

I actually reckon my local 888pl venues are more rigged than online the way I run there.

I'm a winning cash game player [online & live] and accepting variance is a must, if you want to be a winning player.

When I play, my goal is to make the correct decision in any given situation.

I may make the correct decision and still lose the hand, but in the long-run, enough correct decisions will make you a profit.

If there was no variance, there wouldn't be any fish playing poker, so variance is GOOD!!!

In saying all that, yes I do get pissed off at times when you trap someone and they go runner runner to beat you but I let it go pretty quick these days cause I know I will be a winner in the long-run.

I agree with Jav, the live venue software is totally rigged.

Just last Tuesday night on the final table, I had AA cracked twice (Qs5s flopping a set of 5's & K7off hitting running K's). I also shove from button with Ac10c to be called by A4off and A9off only to have the 9 hit river.

Yeah it's bloody rigged.... then again it was Russ dealing
