Hi
I know 2 people on Vodafone Internet connections and for the last 3-4 months, they can not log on to 888 poker games. However, if the same computer comes to my house and uses my BigPond internet, they are able to log in and play with no problems. Vodafone says its not their fault and it is 888, does any1 else experience the same problems???

Hi BjPhyllis,

I am not sure if this helps. I do occasionally have problems connecting to overseas sites, including 888 , when my ISP's server is experiencing issues. Usually it is only for a couple of hours but is really frustrating. But if vodaphone is saying the issue is not there end then that would probably rule that out. It may be an issue with the config of the modem but again this would probably cause your friend to have issues connecting to many sites overseas and not just 888. Have you tried posting this issue on a forum such as www.whirlpool.net.au as they have a lot of tech whizz's there who may be able to assist. Most ISP's will usually have a rep from the company on the whirlpool forum who will answer tech questions about issues their customers may be having on there as well which may also help.

Good luck and I hope your friend has the issue resolved soon
Gayle

Hi Gayle
Thanks for the reply, have never visited whirlpool.net.au so will check it out. The thing is, is there are 2 people in the same house both with different Vodafone USB sticks, different accounts and they both cant connect to 888. A few months ago, they could, until Vodafone decided to upgrade the Satelitte in the area and since then, it hasnt worked.
We have taken the laptop into Vodafone and they say its not their fault. We have had a 888 TD look at it and it didnt know either, but connect to my Bigpond, and its fine, guess we're angry with Vodafone for not trying harder to fix it, but thank you for your help, with check out that website

maybe take the vodaphone net and the bigpond net into the store and show them.

sounds like something that vodaphone will deny all the time until you show them irrefutable proof

Hi Guys,

We are currently having issues with some ISP's.

BJPhyllis - can you please provide a screenshot of what is happening when your friends try to log in and play?

Can you also provide details of your ISP and your friends service.

Are they both 3g connections?

Hi all,
Thanks for all the replies. When we try to log into 888, we get the exact same message as above "Unable to Connect. Please try again or contact member support" and the Vodafone screen is the same as above also with the signal etc. Pretty sure they both are on the 3g 850 Vodafone Network in the Arundel Suburb on the Gold Coast.
When we went into Vodafone, they tried to connect with the USB - same message, so I asked them to connect to their instore internet and they wouldnt, asked who they with and they said BigPond, so, im sure it would have worked if they connected thru their internet but instead they choose to blame 888. Explained to them that 888 was working before blah blah, but yeah, I think they in denial. Tried going through complaints for part refund as they can access all sites and they continue to say it not them, thats why i thought I asked the Forum

It's my kaspersky that stops my connection not my provider.
