888pl Online games

Hi Guys,

With the forum on the way out, I thought I'd better address these issues now whilst I can.

WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE ONLINE GAMES????

you guys posted regarding online champs, and even offered some possible dates, but nothing happened....

You guys posted about the online ME & AM phase games saying that the times and dates would be fixed, but nothing happened....

At this time, there are 2 identical AM phase 1's scheduled for ACST 10:30 tomorrow (Friday) with no players, and a AM phase 2 scheduled for ACST 12:00 with only 1 player (me).....

How can you expect to get players at these ridiculous times??

(The AM Qualifier (Phase 4) is scheduled for 30 June 2012, but only has 1 qualifier so far!!!! That is ridiculous considering this phase schedule has supposed to have been running for nearly 6 months now)........

Schedules are all over the place. I could understand if you were dealing with Asia, and they were all speaking Chinese, but you are dealing with Europe, with people speaking English. I don't see time zones as an excuse, it is your business to get it right, even if you have to stay up all night to do so.....

I have been playing 888pl online since it started, and I can tell you it has never been this bad before. Enough excuses, there is obviously something very wrong with the way it is being handled....

Have to +1 the above, i totally understand the forum closing but the communication about the online games is sketchy at best and having followed on twitter and fb for some time now there is zero info about online games ther exept for ME events, i want to continue playing 888pl both online and in venue but i rely on my online game to try and qualify as i dont have the time for venue games to make leaderboards, but if the online component is going to be neglected i don't really see the point in playing with 888pl. With the forum closing the website has to be maintained with online info or people will just drop off playing.

Gents,

There isn't much more we can do.
We continue to do all we can on this and we continue to get stuffed around.

We will be canceling the Aussie millions phase system until we get it right.
We will focus on the main even satellites.

Online champs is booked in and should be live within the week, hopefully with the right times.

Beyond that there isn't much else we can do whilst we continue to solve these translation and time zone issues.

Thanks for your continued support and perseverance. I know everyone's patience is wearing thin.

yeah but i dont understand how there is such a thing as time zone issues, its not hard to just quote all your times in gmt. obviously it could get stuffed around a bit in daylight davings changeover period, but outside i dont see how it can be an issue

obviously it is more complicated than that but i cant see how at the moment

When did the online champs get announced? I missed that one.

It's a pity the online component to 888pl never really worked. What is the agreement between 888 and FHG? Can we shop around? I'm sure Pokerstars would be interested in hosting online events and would do a better job of it.

And the platform/client at 888 is just ridiculous. I cant understand why they dont fix the software and get some proper poker people in there to improve operations. I was under the impression 888 was one of the biggest gambling corporations in the whole world. Couple of million into the poker room would be loose change and would surely increase traffic.

Maybe if Julia regulates online poker FHG get a licence to run their own site? (a man can dream)
