I'm gonna start me up a raffle company in Tasmania!!!

The reason this was so confusing is that you meantioned buying 3 raffle tickets. Why the hell would you bother if all you need to do is buy 1 to be eligable for the prize?....

No mention of 'conditions apply' - pay the man his $100. Anything less is a complete rip-off.

Also falcongt, I hate to break it to you, but 888pl & APL are the same company, it actually seems odd that one would poach a venue from the other since they have merged.

Hi Gmatical, I hate to break it to you but this is what is posted on our info page by our
'Operations Manager of 888 poker' on October 11th.

Anthony Dickson - Just on a sidenote, the rumours of 888PL merging with any other league are completely unsubstantiated and untrue. We have two major players in the Tasmanian pub poker market who are still in competition and 888PL has no intention of any merger with the other player. There are no deals going on behind 'closed doors'

Wrong.

888PL did not take over APL.

FHG, the company that owns the 888PL brand, purchased the APL brand as well.

APL is now run as a seperate brand by employees of FHG, not 888PL.

Speaking of the situation here in SA, APL is very definately still separate, combining only for finals. And it will stay that way for the forseeable future.

Saying the 888PL own APL is incorrect and probably where most of the confusion about this situation cones from.
