Just an idea.
How about running phase 1 one night, phase 2 the next then phase 3 on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Have the phase 1 & 2 run every consecutive night.
If you make phase 1/2 on one of these nights & cannot play you can unregister & join on the night that you can play.

Epic fail the way these games are set up @ the moment

Harps I understand your frustration with the current set up of the Main Event satellites, and believe I've tried my hardest to have these set up before the Main Event the way I wanted to, but it just didn't come to fruition- this was out of our control.

However, it's a lesson learnt and you can trust me when I say that the Satellite schedule for the next Main Event will be just how i envisioned, and it will be a smoother operation than it currently is.

I apologise for this, however we have offered numerous Satellites around the States and in particular the Victoria areas, as I'm sure your well aware so there are still plenty of opportunites for you to qualify (http://www.themaineventpoker.com.au for all the details).

Thanks

Glyn

Hi Glyn,

Can you elaborate on what exactly has been the problem?? Do the Europeans not speak English? For the record, The AM Phase 1 is STILL scheduled for 1:00am AESST Sunday 19th (check the lobby and you will see it). Surely after several years of dealing with 888 these problems should be easily rectified? It has been several weeks since we have given you guys the heads up regarding these scheduling issues.....

Hi Jo,

I see no benefit in going into details of our dealings with 888, but you should know that their operating hours are our sleeping times, and is often the case without talking face to face- things are lost in translation and getting these satellites operating perfectly has proven to be quite the task. The task of manually adding and reconciling players into different daily satellites followed by multiple weekly phase 2 satellites then putting those in a monthly phase 3 satellite was an operational task that 888 were not willing to take on, and as such we have had to significantly reduce the satellite schedule until we can rectify these issues, and come up with a solution that satisifes both parties.

At the moment the Main Event, and the organisational and preparation tasks that go with it has taken priority and as such we have neglected the Aussie Millions satellites, but know that these will be going live once the Main Event has concluded and we will be making sure these run smoothly and at the correct times. I am aware that the current Phase 1 is set for 1am.

As far as the Main Event satellites go, I will make it known that due to the funds reconciliation process one Online Main Event satellite prior to the start of the Event was all that could be ran, and as such we have failed to address any of the current issues surrounding the Phase system, as Main Event tasks have taken priority.

As I have said to Harps, and this goes out to our faithful onliners including yourself, and the community as a whole I can fully understand your frustration when it has come to the Online component this year but rolling out a new schedule after a long time with the old has given us some roadblocks, however, as I hope you are fully aware my passion for our Online component has never waivered , and I will endevour to have this fixed and running 100 percent as soon as possible after the conclusion of the Main Event.

Just for your information also, this has now become an issue that has been escalated to Senior Management and we should see a resolve soon!
