With the recent acquisition of the Australian Poker League, we at the Full House Group are proud to announce the newest major tournament on the Australian poker calendar:



The Main Event!



This exclusive tournament will be held bi-annually at prestigious Australian Casinos, and will play host to both APL and 888PL members all competing for their portion of the prize pool. Our inaugural Main Event is tentatively scheduled for February 2012.

The Main Event will have an entry fee of $1,200 and will only be awarded to those who have directly qualified through State Championships, Special Events, Satellites, Pro Opens and other League promotions. To protect the exclusivity of this event, players will not have the option to directly buy in . Additionally, players that win a Main Event seat must have played a minimum 10 APL and or 888PL games in the six-month Main Event qualification period.

Our current plan is that the February Main Event will be hosted by Crown Casino in Melbourne with the next event scheduled for August- most likely in another state.We are all excited about working with the team at Crown Casino to create what we believe will be the best Main Event ever experienced by our pub and club poker market.

Due to the integration of APL and 888PL, we expect to see a boost in our player numbers for our Main Event. At our inaugural Main Event we estimate 500 runners will qualify to play. The Main Event will be capped at 600 entries, and will operate in true deep stack style with side events and plenty of action to make it a heady two days of on-felt play.

The key points about our new Main Event that all players will be keen to know are summarized below:

* The Main Event is a bi annual event that will take place in February and August each year at major Australian Casinos.
* Entry to the Main Event is strictly via qualification only. There will be no buy-ins. State Championships, Special Events, Satellites, and the Pro Open will be your only means of qualification.
* The Main Event seat value is $1,200.Players that win a seat must have played a minimum 10 games during the six-month qualification period.
* We expect to host 500 players at The Main Event. To retain its exclusivity and prestige, we have capped the total player numbers at 600.
