Re: Barossa Gawler Regional Finals - Qualifiers
I grinded it out for a bit benny the cunt. I was major SS, blinds 500/1000, I'm in the BB, about to hit 1k/2k next hand, I have 4k behind me. Jason O Rielly min raises, folded around to me.
I look down at A5o and figure I'm ahead, because its Jason O (no offense Jase, well played last night mate). I go all in, and Jason calls. $10,500 pot.
Jason turns over A6o - domination. The flop bricks out, and on the turn, if the river card is higher than a 6, we are looking for a chop. Unfortunately, Jason hits a 4 card flush on the river to take it all down.
I think this is how everyone finished:
1st - Jason O Reilly
2nd - Gordon Foden
3rd - Karly Daniels
4th - Nick Pech
5th - Karl Pech
6th - Russel Minnet
7th - Todd Gray
8th - Rose (Clare chick)
9th - ???
10th (bubble) - Troy Haseldine
I think I'm a little wrong there but that seems about right. I know the top 4 are definitely correct. Final hand of the FT, chip stacks are EXACTLY even (although we don't know this until after the hand). Jason O Rielly raises, Gordon raises all in, Jason calls.
Jason: 77
Gordon: QJo.
Door card: J. Matty slowly.... flops a 7. Tourny over, Jason wins the B&G regionals.
Edit: Matty, always one step ahead of me

Well done Todd I'm so glad to see you got through. I'll take full credit on those "thank you's" your handing out.
And congratulations Jason. I pegged you for taking it out really early in the piece when you were on my table if you recall.
It's funny how one hand can make such a change and I had a chance but it wasn't meant to be I suppose.
It was so sad to see "Todd Fullovit" go down to Russell. I had already called the $800 blind and Todd went ALLIN for $5,200 with AJo. I thought it's now or never as I put him on a middle pair or weak ace or king. I counted out my remaining chips plus the $800 already in the pot gave me $5,100 to call with As 10s.
You'd think Russell would have looked up just once to see I had my chips ready to go ALLIN as I was dying to go heads up with Todd. But NO!! He was too damned busy counting how many chips he'd have left if he called and he pushed them in.
I didn't fancy a 3 way play so I reluctantly folded and Russell turns over his QJo. The flop comes AK10 and Russell hits his straight on the flop and Todd was gone.
A few hands later the blinds were $1k & $2k I look at AKo and I go ALLIN with my remaining $4,300 as I was 2 hands away from the big blind. Russell calls and shows A2d. No guessing what hit on the flop but it wasn't a King and I was on my way home.

Well done Todd, great to see you up there!
Congrats to Jason as well!
Nothing really to tell from my part. I brought about my downfall by myself (hey, rare for a poker player to admit its his own fault!) by trying to bluff someone off a flop of Q 3 3. I dont know what he had but when he reraised me on the turn I figured my Jack high probably wasnt good, and the game was up. Had bugger all left and ended up pushing from position with KJ. He picked up AQ and obviously called.

Bob, I'd suggest you may want to edit your post. You make it quite clear you don't like Mr Fullagar, however there is really no need to resort to petty name calling.
As for the regionals, sorry I couldnt get there to stir up AK, JD, SD and BM as well as others, but i was feeling under the weather. Might see you guys Thursday night. Looks like it was a great tourney and well done to J O'R!!
