New OM; My replacement.

Well Ladies and gents,

A decision was made today on my replacement.

Before I progress any further I would like to say that it has been a very difficult decision for all of those involved.

The calibre of all of the final applicants was of the highest quality and this indeed made for an arduous and difficult decision making process.

In the end we went with one applicant that just shone through.

Annabelle Edkins.

I know this name is not familiar to any of you. Annabelle was an applicant from outside of the company.

I know many of you, as players, will be disappointed that someone from within the company was not promoted but in this case there were a few deciding factors:

Annabelle’s enthusiasm, attitude and presentation was flawless throughout the interview process.

Her understanding of the challenges NPL faced, long term and day to day, were incredible considering she came from outside the company.

She will bring a fresh approach to the company which includes new ideas and outside perspective.

There are many more things that I would like to say but I will keep this short.

In closing I would like to say thank you to all, I would also request that you show Annabelle the same loyalty, respect and support that you have all shown me over this time. I appreciate all the comments that have been made to me and it is a position I will miss.

One of Annabelle's first jobs will be to get on this forum and introduce herself o you all.

I will be departing towards the end of June but I will still have a lot to do with operations in this State as the new role also has an advisory capacity to all other states, please feel free to keep in touch and contact me with anything if you are feeling unheard or feel you cannot go to other people with problems, but don't bombard me with stuff as I will have plenty to do! ;)

Thanks for all the great memories and times, but I will be here for quite awhile longer.

Congratulations to Annabelle!

I'm sure she must have indeed been an outstanding candidate to outlast some of the talent I know applied for the position. I also have every faith in whatever decision making process was applied.

Looking forward to meeting Annabelle very soon, and I hope she likes swearing LOL

hi again Garth and congrats on your promotion. Sorry I never made it to your farewell. i was a little jacked off not having a car other than my Val and that wasn't going anywhere near the PFC parking area.

I'm sure the new lass will be fine and hopefully has what it takes to continue making NPLSA a successful Company. Unfortunately you have left a large pair of shoes for her to fill M8.

Anyway I'm sure all your close friends and the rest of the NPL punters gave you a good send off. Cheers from Bob B

I'd like to add my congratulations to your rapidly growing list there Annabelle.

I'd also like to thank you, Garth, for your efforts. I've only met you very briefly a couple of time, I have however known of your endeavors thru many, many other players, and thru this forum of course. I know your efforts will be missed - tho I'm sure you've chosen your replacement with care, and as such, I'm sure things will continue to improve going forward.

Good luck with your new post Annabelle, and good luck going forward Garth.

Cheers

Mathew

Congratulations indeed! Welcome Annabelle! The many cousins and relatives of the NPL family welcome you into the fold! Given some of the people that were in the decision process, I'm sure you'll deliver.

Of course... in welcoming you, we also have to say goodbye to Garth and it's been said before but the man has done a fantastic job both for poker in SA and for the NPL as a whole. It's a shame to see him leave and you can guarantee we here in SA will continually bombard you with the most ridiculous of questions. Perhaps there'll even be a little less control with the slap bets now and we can let things get a little more out of hand. Free reign Dakota!

Having said that though. I'm looking forward to see if Annabelle can play poker better than Garth... which shouldn't be all that hard :P . Be even more interesting however to see if she can drink as much though ;)

Congratulations again.

Annabelle, Congratulations and welcome to the NPL family.
Looking forward to meeting you at some stage, im sure Garth will bring you around to meet us all, as you are now part of our massive family.

Garth, to you my friend the players may be disappointed that its not someone we already know (Internal) but you have always done the best thing for everybody (The company & the players) so if Brock, you & the team have decided that Annabelle is the best person for the job then we accept this and we will give Annabelle the respect and support that is rightfullly deserved
