Play has now been underway for 30 minutes.

We have seen one player eliminated when his flopped set was out turned by a King that made his opponent's Broadway straight. All the chips went in on the river and Stan Anemouri is our first player eliminated.

Over on the feature table, from henceforth known as the table of death, there is plenty of action with raises and re raises on just about every street.

AK just hurt Warne when he called Warn'es river re raise with a set of Kings.

Shane Warne all in for his tournament life.

On a board of [xks] [jxs] [9xd]

Shane Warne three bet all in for his last 8,000.

He was called by Ali and Tom Jenkins folded what he states was two pair.

Shane exposes [xkc] [qxd] and find's himself dominated against Ali's [xad] [kxd].

The turn brings the [6xd] and Shane is chasing any Queen of Ten.

The river brings the miracle [10xh] and Shane doubles through to 22,000.

Shane Warne Eliminated.

I missed the preflop action but I arrived at the table with Shane Warne declaring all in over the top of Tom "Nitro" Jenkins flop bet.

Nitro snap called and slammed down 6,6
Warne sighed and showed Q, T.

The sigh was because the board had ran out: T, T, 6.

The turn and river bricked out and Shane heads to the rail after hitting a monster cooler.

Right now we have about 150 players remaining with an average chipstack of 33,000.

I have just heard the AK was eliminated as well when he got into a race with Nitro and he lost.

Nitro has been running over the feature table and has amassed over 250K in chips, he is playing some fairly superb big stack aggressive poker.

DAY 2

After a grueling ten hours of play, we are only a short time away from Day 2 here at the 888pl Grand Final. With $128 000 to be paid out over the top 27 and the winner walking away with an impressive $33 000.

The response of this final series by the players has been amazing. 167 runners in the Friday Night Last Chance Rebuy Frenzy, 107 runners in the bounty event including a certain SA darling Mr Darren Lehmann. 20 Bounties in the pool with the CEO of Full House Group Mr Garry Nicholson being the last bounty standing.

With the crowning of our 888pl Grand Final Champion, the other exciting news is that their will be an Aussie Millions package also being won today in the Aussie Millions Rebuy tournament $25 entry, and $25 rebuys, this is sure to have an awesome overlay for all players involved.

We will try and bring as much of the beats, the bets and also the atmospher as we can so those who couldn't be here can get a taste of the excitement and action that is in the air. We will be back in an hour for those fateful words of "Shuffle Up and Deal" as we get underway for Day 2 of the 888pl Grand Final.
