So it is just a cash payout this time round and none of the prize packs & flights/entries into the vic finals that were on offer?

Yes just a cash payout for the time being. There will be no 150K champs after Feb 23rd and 25th. But starting next season we will be having a once per season Sat. to a major Australasian poker tournament. There is always something else in the pipeline for metro players as well.
