Go the riverland for getting behind the NPL! And go the NPL for spreading the word of their well run games.

My son's step-father works there.. I guess my staying with them during the Berri Deepstack got him to talk to the right people in getting the venue to have NPL.

I'll take the credit, where I'm sure there is none to be taken :D

Im gonna give this venue a massive wrap here.

This was the first night that the Cobby club had hosted poker and i must say i was very impressed.

About 45 runners turned up for the new night, which was excellent, the meals we had were brilliant, stamping was very fair, the staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was great (Cobby had won the footy grand final on saturday - a lot of the team were still there - a great bunch of blokes who had fun, listened to advice/rules, and im sure they will be back) and needless to say the rivers clan (Toddy and Nicole) ran a great tournament as they always do.

Although its a 25 minute drive up the highway from Waikerie, i will most certainly be back. Well done Cobby club on an excellent first night of poker!!!

oh, did i mention i won and got the Aussie Millions satellite seat

Has nothing to do with the above review though, i would still be back even if i was first out.

Nice Macka Nice
well done on the win
told you the tide would turn

Mabey you just needed to play against some fresh faces, everyone at waikerie obviously has reads on you.

you will have to keep going now, might be your best bet at getting to state finals
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Warning: slight brag alert.

Cobby club has had a short half season for the last 5 weeks of this season. I thought i'd venture up the sturt highway to play a few games.

In the 5 games, my worst finish is 8th, and it averages high thirties / low forties. Proud of myself :D :D
