I wasn't going to go back to the Highlander for the Wednesday nights (Sunday afternoons used to be fantastic), I didn't enjoy the last time I went (atrocious play, disregard for the rules...frustrating), but with the Kentish gone...

Had a great night. Came 4th. Will go back again soon.

And the mini pizzas are a great energy booster after the 2nd break.

:D

Brice, you didn't fold it because you didn't have it :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

That was some awesome luck, Bacon. Can't figure out which one was giving me the most luck - the sunglasses, or the coin in the bottom of my scotch :D

Then Mat came and put his sunglasses on the table and took all the luck away :(

Played there last night too - quite enjoyed it.

Only got 2 stamps for a 10.90 meal which I thought was odd (thought it was girls first day and she had a big line happening so I didn't bother querying it), but the barman took pity on me when I explained to him why I was querying how many stamps I'd get for a pint. Not that it really bothered me as I had a lift!

Can't say I did anything interesting with the cards, as has been the case in general since I've been back, but the venue was good, and I love the poker area upstairs! I'll be back there at some point :D

Yes I have to say my first time at the highlander was great!

Loved the poker area upstairs, people were friendly and not too expensive to stamp up! Plus i gotta love the $2.80 glasses of moselle :D

Also it was great to clean-up and knock out Bacon with my QQ vs his low pockets! Thanks for the chip-up!

The only bad thing was me not winning the tourny...lol.....after having 42 grand in chips being crippled by AK and again by pocket 10s later to go on the final table with only 19 grand....lol.....u cant win em all I suppose!

How many did you win last season, Vic?

note: yes, yes, I know you play big venues, but you're so easy to wind up

pocket 7's took most of my stack when i had pocket t's. Then they gave my stack to Vic, with her queens. Then my mate got them to get knocked out.

But i enjoyed beating mafu's pockets with ak.
