it clearly says on the forum that these two events ARE providing qualifiers for the state finals, which you must have missed.

then i pointed out what bits you should have read to find your answer by quoting them again, and you didnt read that either.

so YES, 5 people from each event qualify to the state finals

FYI, the new late game at the Junction Tavern attracted more than 70 runners (from memory, maybe slightly less - I was too busy folding queens to Des' raise) - great turnout for a new venue time slot so late in a season. Of course, high numbers were probably to be expected due to the possibility of an easier state finals seat with 2 solid finishes both tonight and next Saturday.

Stamp policy might need to be looked at - although I hope it was just me that got stung - but 1 stamp for a pint is not ideal.

Tonsley Hotel - fantastic venue for poker. Don't know if the new session will take off, but the more than solid numbers turning up for the Monday evening game suggest a second event can be worked in somewhere. I really couldn't fathom how many would show up for this game, and I couldn't use the Junction's new session the night previous as a real guide(70+). 26 runners, had figured on at least 30+ showing up, but the combination of stinking hot weather, a long drive for alot of punters, and the fact that no-one should really be up at that time on a Sunday morning ( ) limited the field.

With the possibility of having Monday nights free again, i'll have to add the Tonsley Hotel to my list of possible venues to raid. Fingers crossed a second session in some form can be sustained.
