i agree with you steve, sometimes regular NPL can become a bit of a chore, especially when EVERYONE is loose passive on the table, and its basically who gets the best hand wins. these players are easy to beat, but that doesn't mean its any fun in the process.
i find that when i sit on the table with all of the people that can actually play the game (AK, thommo, gaz, heath etc) my enjoyment goes up immensely, and funnily enough my results are better.
garth, cash buying deepstack tourneys on a saturday afternoon are the way to go IMHO.

Chelsea4thewin wrote:honestly Garth i just need some time off, i started way back in week 1 season 1 at the Windsor Hotel and i have just lost the passion, i dont really even care about the poker anymore the only thing that keeps me going is the social aspect
i however love the events such as the state finals, forum freeroll etc but i know we cant have these every weekend
i have also gone back to playing outdoor soccer so that is taking up two nights i would usually be playing poker
if im not enjoying it there is point in going, rather spend my hard earned on something else, but i will be back with a refreshed outlook on npl poker
only reason i keep playing is the people if i win or make a final table it's a bouns. to many people out there just play for fun and call every thing for me to give it my all, people just piss me off.
What do you mean, thats unrelated!

Saturday afternoon? PLEASE NO!
Sunday's are better for the majority of the population, unless you play lawn bowls.

Re: Paradise Hotel
1st point. Paradise tonight. YAY!
2nd point. More enjoyment would be more regular events with relaxed blind structures. I've only got a vague recollection of this, but this will be the case this year anyway?
And Sundays are best for these types of non weekly type of events IMO.

what would be wrong with having a weekly deepstack or at least a relaxed tourney?

Re: Paradise Hotel
Er, this discussion should be moved elsewhere I'm thinking (says the mod who continued in the wrong forum)
What I was getting at tho was I thought there were some more regular, long format tourneys already scheduled for this year, and not on a weekly basis. These are the tourneys I was referring to.

Re: Paradise Hotel
More work for the mods.
But we will be trialling a regular double stack event at three venues from week 5 to the end of the season.
If successful for all parties then we will look to implement this type of structure across several events.
