The Holdfast hotel is a very nice pub, nice food, nice staff. For lunches they offer lunch specials with a group of 5 different meals for around $9. but the best meal i have had there was a beef burger $7. when ever i get some free time on a sunday, i will head down there again for a game and meal.
What do you mean, thats unrelated!

Matt Porter wrote:I agree Nick, Watermark is great. NPL special every week, something like schnitzel, calamari or lasagne + a pint of beer for about $13.00 + 4 stamps. McKenna Bourbon girls there for the next couple of weeks, finger food in the second break (pies/pasties/spring rolls etc). Great venue, great food. Dave's even put up a $500 bonus lucky draw for all players who play a minimum of 8 games out of 10 per season to be drawn in the last week. If you've missed out this season, make sure you get on board for the next season. The best venue in the South West for sure. Check it out.

Sounds like a great venue Nick & Matt. Dave sounds like a great supporter of NPL and deserves your support.

Compared to what - something that Jamie Oliver, or your son, even, would cook? They do well with what they're given, regardless of whether they simply heat up the schnitzels of not, I think they do a great job.Bob B wrote:GO TO PARA HILLS IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY A PUB OR CLUB MEAL BEFORE YOUR GAME.
Order a decent meal from their MENU for a reasonable price and you'll see what I'm talking about.
This differs to the Old Spot/Willaston/Kingsford... how?
There's other ways to say "try something else than the schnitzel" (which you seem to think is all I eat) then what you've got above, Bob.
Good to see your up there supporting your venues AK. But as you were relating to schnitzels in a very strong manner it did appear that it was your favorite meal.
Me, I'm a medium rare steak guy. Even had them on the stone at the Kingsford which is another great northern pub.
Hey AK, if we're talking top end food come to the Flyers Club on Monday nite. Watch me wrap my laughing gear around a snag and onions sangar with sauce or the proverbial steak and onion sangar, LOL.
Take care M8 see you on the felt one day, maybe?

Tea Tree Gully Hotel must be reading this forum.
Their food has improved significantly.
Had a rump steak last night and it was killer.
And barmaids are still hot
