but i will be there, i figure one weeks headstart should be enough to make it interesting. besides, i wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to chip you both up when you hit a 3 outer on me! lol

This is from the NPL websites venue details on Swish....

"1st Prize: $50 Restaurant Voucher
2nd Prize: $20 Resturant Voucher
*$3.50 1 stamp, $6.00 2 stamps, $9.00 3 stamps, $12.00 4 stamps.

$4.00 Pints, tap beer (Stella Artois, Cascade Pale Ale, Cascade Light, Carlton Draught, VB) $3.50 glasses of house wine, $5.00 pre mix (Stolichnaya Black Russians, Jim Beam, & Dry, Canadian Club & Dry)

Burger & Schooner of beer $14.00

Register a new player and receive a $5.00 Stamford cash voucher."

please please please tell me it's not still like that.

I'm still heading down there tonight, just don't want to be blatantly ripped off with the stamps :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

dollar value for stamps should be banned

it cant really, but people should vote with their feet and not go to these places.

i think the consensus is that 1 for schooner/softie, 2 for pint/spirit, 3-4 for meals AT WORST cf my posts about the gawler pubs

my opinion is that if the venue you play at is worse than this, then play somewhere else. there are plenty of other venues that will look after you.

PS this is not about the swish specifically, just replying to pete's post - i hope its not like this any more either for your sake pete!

As has been discussed before, it might be more prudent to approach a venue first, and discuss any changes you believe could be made to their stamping policy.
