Spot fixing

I liked Salman Butt as a batsman, pity he went to the dark side.

No doubt these are just the ones that were caught, there are others.

And caught by a newspaper, fat lot of good the anti-corruption arm of the ICC does.

Horrible indictment on the ICC, however all accounts seem to suggest they did a good job once it it was exposed.

That's the easy part

The whole IDEA of an anti-corruption wing is to find and prosecute, not just prosecute.

Finding match fixing is easier said than done. Most of the fixing is done "in the shadows" and how can the ICC tell for sure if a team or player is throwing the game or has just been unlucky or out of form.

I think the best way about to go about it is to change player mindsets and cultural thinking towards fixing, particularly in those South East Asian countries where people probably don't understand just how serious fixing is. Jailing these guys is a good first step to changing peoples views on it. Once you discover fixing, make the punishment severe to deter it.

Absolutely. ICC is a horrible, failed, governing body.

FIFA is a model of corporate responsibility compared with ICC.

Of course it is - but that's why they HAVE the anti-corruption section. To get their hands dirty and find it out.
Hell, if News of the World can do it - they can.

It's anti-corruption by name, not by action.

no reason why the ICC can't employ a branch of investigators to try and go undercover etc to try and catch some people. not sure if they have that now, but if they do it obviously doesn't work

Asif Amir won't be Slam-in Butt.

benny the cunt wouldn't that be entrapment by the icc? & I don't think that would hold up in any court if the icc did that.
