I don't think I'm speaking out of turn when I say this (because I think it was mentioned on here somewhere else) but I'm under the impression it wasn't one isolated incident.

And yes, there's absolutely no point in discussing it.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

In my opinion, you have admitted on your own behalf you are only arguing the length of the ban. It's not your call how long you think is acceptable. You did the crime now do the time. Just cop it on the chin.
It is always the organisation's (NPL) own discression to how they handle their incidents.
As you said earlier you have had Annabelle hear the appeal, as she is new to NPL she would be unbias, therefore her no matter what it should be will stand. To me that is the end of the discussion.
You committed the crime now do the time and let it go.

Yeah, Paul, to be honest, I doubt anyone cares.

I agree that 10 weeks is a bit harsh (maybe something like 5 would've been suitable) but that is NPL's decision, and from the sounds of it, you were warned repeatedly.

You did the crime, now shut up and do the time.

Thank you for the honest feedback.

In acknowledgement of the fact that players and staff alike consider it inappropriate to say the f... word inside a NPL venue, and I admitted to saying the f word, I will accept the verdict of NPL and my peers.

I accept that in saying the f... word, NPL has the right to remove me, or any other player, from a tournament, without any warnings.

I accept that NPL has the right to suspend a player for swearing, and while I consider 10 weeks to be a very harsh penalty, I accept this penalty.

I do not accept that any NPL staff member has the right to warn, threaten or discriminate against any player, prior to, or based on any previous behaviour, at any event.

I accept that it would be an insipid act for me to prevent those other state qualifiers from participating in the final and as a result I will instruct my solicitor to withdraw all claims and actions against all persons and NPL.

Good luck to all in the finals.

Cougar,

I think it would be best if you just used the suspension as resting period. Take some time off (still be involved on the forum of you choose).

By taking the route you have started upon you are only going to isolate yourself further away from our staff and members.

I remember running the Modbury a few seasons back. I used to go to work knowing you'd be there, this at the time was a good thing as i knew it wouldn't be a boring night and i could discuss almost anything NPL or poker related with you for an hour with out you or i repeating ourselves once. It was always good conversation.

Some where along the lines i believed you changed. The change was slow but some how you just seemed to lose your passion. Rather then come to an event with you bubbly personality, you would bring your dispassionate and argumentative persona. A number of reasons to cause such a change come to mind, one for example is the top 50 leader board debate. You received a lot of criticism during that discussion topic, maybe you felt you were hard done by, i just know.

The new persona caused a lot of heart ache for the staff. You did make our jobs more difficult and also from reports i have seen you did lose a lot of respect for the rules often going directly against a TD instructions.

All in all Paul, i would like to see you come back to the NPL (even to play a few CBD games) but how you choose to handle yourself now will dictate whether or not you are welcome.

Take a break, have a rest. You should still participate on the forum as some of you threads get massive hits and create great discussion (then again some seem to make people go to war) but none the less, Are you fighting for the sake of fighting? or do you really have something to prove?

Regards
