or in lieu of that, some sort of IOU so u can get stamps for the second game while you are playing the first game

Most places let you get receipts for the drinks you buy so you can redeem the receipts for stamps later in the night when you register. They don't like letting you register early for the late game.

Well that 2 games done already with a double goose egg.

Played the Kentish Arms ... what nice little pub, meal was great and I did meet up with Scott and MrNG1979, great venue, only down side is parking is a pain.

Next off to the Woolshed, which can only be described as an experiance.
Stamping policy is some what confusing any single purchase is 1 stamp stubbie pint or spirit, but if you buy a special drink which there was a number to choose from, you got 3 stamps ie. Millars or Carlton Fusion for $5.

So looking forward to tonight lets see where the bad penny pops up

Thursday,

As predicted meeting/dinner concluded with me having plenty of time to make the late game at Red Square, enjoyed the challenge my chip stack went up and down a number of times, but as final table rolled around I was left with 5000, I was seated at SB played only acouple of hands for wins and then my [ah] [kh] were smashed and that left me in 4th place.

As I walked out of the venue a hastey decision was made to play the Strath, I only stamped up on card with the thought of playing fairly loose, after the break I played full on 1st a megga bluff, I narely trippled up, @ about 3am the eyes were telling me its sleep time and I was truly knackered, I got delt pocket 4's pushed all in if they survived I would consider my options but I got smashed, so it was goodnight from him and goodnight from me.

So lets see what friday brings

Well day 3 of my poker tour concludes, just a mention of fridays venue

I decided to play the double header at the Paradise Hotel, and I decided to stay there as well a room for the night is reasonably priced which includes breakfast.

Game 1 starts at 7pm at a rough guess there was 60 or so runners, I must say the standard of play is far better than all the previous Metro venues I played at this week, I have improved my final table result with a 3rd place. congratulations to the winner very well played and yes it was him who took me out.

Game 2 started at 11pm with 70 or so runners, whilst my stack was impressive at one stage I got smashed with pocket queens all in by 2 callers with 9 rag tripping up.
this happened just prior to the 2nd break with lucks a fortune I was csalled back in, again to be knocked off this tme with Queen/10 whilst UTG.

All in all an excellent venue a fair stamping policy, happy and smiling staff, its worth the drive to Paradise, highly recommend the venue to everyone

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
