i think this will just lead to a lot of people multitabling, so not really increasing the amount of runners

an hour registration for the early evening game isn't such a bad idea.

if its possible, maybe implement a restriction that allows u to only register for 1 game in any given time slot, which will keep unique players per time slot

That will take 888 years to implement.

would leaderboards be combined or separate?

if the leaderboards were saparate, it would suck if you couldn't get into the same game every week

allowing more people to play, but capping the points scored to as if it was a 150 or 200 runner tournament is feasible i think.

So what is best for the players reduce the registration time from 3 hrs to 1hr or increase the number of seats available.

Or have a 2nd game ?

i would def go with the 2 game option, remember we have a database that goes into the tens of thousands, and as these players start catching up, and do start to play more games online. u'll find that the 2nd, 3rd and 4th game will be the more likely senario

It wouldn't be that hard, but 888 is so slow with implementing software ideas (we've had a thread going for weeks now and no changes have been added) that I just don't see it happening in the near future.

aaron, gundog is right, i doubt people would then get in the car and head down to the local

but that is missing the point

the point is that the player made a choice that the freeroll online was more attractive for them to play than the pub game. this is what cannot happen in a league such as this, or else it will become an online league only.

Why is he right? Why wouldn't you go play at the pub if the online freeroll was full? That seems like exactly what you would do (if you had access to as many games as the city players do).

Aaron it's not too hard if you look at it as a family man or woman or have other family or business responabilities. Your very fortunate to have only yourself to worry about at the moment but I'm sure you will see what I mean when those circumstances change. :)

Some simple things such as cash flow, young family, too wet, too cold or just simply not feeling too good and prefering to play at home rather than coughing and sneezing at a venue.

I'm sure there are many more reasons for staying at home and playing online be it on 888 or another online provider but the above would be some of my reasons for not going.

Personally, I couldn't get on the early game so I registered on Star for one tourney and FT for another one and played on FT till my tourney came up.

I did register for the late tourney on 888 and when time came to playing my son was home on the computer so I played allin for three hands and busted out so it wasn't a dead stack just being blinded out. ;)

There has been various opinions expressed on this subject today with some great ideas but what I was trying to present was a fair and equitable time frame or number of chairs that would suit all.

Another option to consider is to split the freeroll into two games, one for SA and one for Vic Players. like the $5 buyin.

The sad thing that has surface is the number of players that play the freeroll has not not tranfered to the buy in games with numders for these consistantly in the High 20's or Low 30's.

At the end of the day its cheaper for me to play my local venue Tue's night, and then play freerolls and 2 of the 3 buy in each night, rather than drive to a venue stamp up a couple of cards and play live poker. Alas I still prefer live poker though.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.
