Lol, yes. That's why people are told that you're d/c, so they can steal your chips.

Re: disconection
last night final table all but 2 players were disconected .
by the time players got back on 2 players had most of the chips 1 player had lost 100,000 chips alone
if you think that is fair or not stealing chips i don,t know what is
the game should of been stopped until those players got back online
my thoughts

Let's say the power is out in their area for 24 hours
How long to you suggest you wait?

Re: disconection
maybe they could have all sat out for a while until those players came back in.
but as dave said, there is no way to know whether a person will be disconnected for a minute or an hour.
and lets face it, its a freeroll afterall.

Re: disconection
Thing is, if you can't access the Pacifc Poker site, it doesn't mean it's down.
It could be an Australian issue, or an exchange issue etc.
If there were still people connected and playing, then I would have to say Pacific Poker wasn't down. Your connection to it was. If it was down, no one could access it.

Re: disconection
LOL.
In Broome, i got disconnected three times one night. All through power blackouts. Both times were in the Challenge events as well.
It sucks, but there is no real recourse. It comes down to assumed risk of playing on a power using device, or not having a backup internet source such as wireless dongle.
Remember Garth was playing one night, and someone disconnected on the final table when it was only 3 players. The other player got knocked out by Garth, and was asking him to split some prize money because the disconnected player wasn't back. He took the risk by trying to double up, so why should he get extra dollars for a player that wasn't there.
Hard but fair rule.
