For what it's worth I'm playing the AK rebuy and to say I can't wait for it to be gone would be an under statement. I actually survived again with only one rebuy and we are down to 20 runners and I'm current chip leader with $55k., LOL.

To observe how many stupid people can sit on one table and play any 2 cards and continue to rebuy over and over again in the first hour always surprises me! When someone like myself asks WHY? They promptly reply "it's a REBUY", LOL

thats a very good point you raise there bob. maybe this may be the end of the "retard" element of the online section of this league...

I think that is a bit harsh.

In terms of rebuys, getting chips onto the table and boosting the prizepool is one thing you want. Everybody has different strategies when it comes to those games. If you don't want to invest in the game then don't. There are players out there that will dump chips onto the table, so that once the rebuy period is over, they can accumulate them back. When the WSOP rebuy events were on, who dumped the most money, the pros, why?, because they felt they had an advantage in getting the chips back and going deep in the tourney.

Calling it a retard element of the online game, shows either ignorance in learning about different strategies, or just naivety that the game is played one way.

Having me on a rebuy table is good and bad. Good because the prizepool will get bigger, bad in that you might suffer a few bad beats in the rebuy phase.

i'm sorry, but i dont subscribe to that

whats the strategy in jamming every second hand on nothing?? its retardation at it's stupidest best. we are not playing WSOP here so comparing this league with that is just silly.

we are talking about a very low limit rebuy where if your lucky you'll win $25 bucks.. thats if you haven't all ready dumped 20 in for the sake of getting the prizemoney pool up..

i am aware of the strategies that you are illuding too, however i find that you'll end up losing more than you'll make with this, especially if you have any bankroll strategy

It maybe a low buy-in tourney but with DT positions depending on the outcome some people are playing for more than the $25 on offer that day.

My idea of playing the AK rebuy is to chip up as quickly as possible or chip the table up before the break !

Would you rather be on a table with 60k chips at the break or 15k chips at the break ? ?

I know which table i would rather be on ! !

Who cares what i spend . it is only building the prizepool , and i can almost gaurantee that i am in front in the AK with moneys won to moneys spent ! !

I do not play this game for the $$ prize value anyway .... it is for the points ! !

It is the best strategy to play this rebuy IMO ! !
When choosing between the 2 evils , I like to choose the 1 i haven't tried yet !

Awesome stuff mate .... how sick is that having 60k on a table at break ?

Kick back and play good aggressive poker after that !

;)

Only trouble was that Roy had most of them as usual. Sibling rivalry got nasty lol.

Daniel Negreanu has a theory on rebuy tourneys.

Play LAG, rebuy as much as you can (or chip up), then at the end of the rebuy period your table, on average, will have more chips than any other table. Therefore if you play a good poker game you can build your stack into the chip lead because more of the chips in play are on your table.

It can be a costly gamble of course, but if its inside your bankroll it can work out very profitable if you are good enough. I'm not.

AK and MURRIN generate more money than any other tourney, they are free 2 play and have a prize pool bigger than most tourneys without 888pl adding anything. REMOVE them. U remove players.

Daniel is a smartman, that cant be argued

Thanks to all for your contributions. Met with the bosses today and we now have the final fixture.

1.) No bonuses for FT or winning all 3 freerolls - winners will now be entered into monthly 888PL GF Final. Decision has been made to reduce our liability or expenses to those avenues which do not generate revenue directly for this company.

2.) GTD's to be removed from all but two events. Main and Feature events will still carry GTD as well as PLO tourney.

3.) Start GTD tourneys no earlier than 9.45pm.

As attached, dave can you work your magic again please!
