The SICKEST poker venue

Postby MILO » Tue Sep 16, 2008 3:24 pm

HI Guys,

juyst thought i'd let you know we had our first
"SUPERBUCKS" night last night in Gol Gol (NSW),

were we normally host our Monday night cash game. $15 entry fee and
$10 re-buys, first 3 20 minute blind levels and optional double add-on ($20) after the first break.

Last night we guaranteed first place at $3k!

We receieved 110 entries and totalled $10,760 in the prize pool...

Some $97 average spend per player. We play hard here!

First 3k, 2nd $1800, 3rd $1400, 4th $1,000. Paid 15% of the field and cash prizes filtered through.

Does anyone else know if there is a pub poker game as big as this anywhere in Oz? i have searched the net and the best i have seen is some moron  holding a trophy with $400 cash in their hands. That is usaully our 5th place prize on a normal night.

Anywayz love braggin :D about this and want it known ur all welcome to come and participate. Call me on 0410 691792 for further details.

Appreciate any feedback

Cheers
Milo

that would weed out the first timers that don't know how to play!

sounds pretty awesome though

not really just near Mildura... only 1.5 hours from the Riverland!

We have already had some people from S.A. already take part.
We are also running our "Pro-player of the Year" prize
which is a seat in the Aussie Millions main event with flights and accomodation for 2, valued at $13,500.

We raise money for this out of the $5 rake form the entry fee and $100 out of the prize pool. This is why we are running these "SUPERBUCKS" events because we have already rasied enough money to pay for that annual prize.

No doubts the publican is very happy....... :D

haha, me and the missus went to NSW the other weekend, just for a drive. Went to mildura then wentworth just for something to do. Its still 2 and a half hours away though. Plenty of closer games of poker lol.

So clearly cash is allowed on tables outside of casino's in other states, and i know its not allowed in SA, but which states have which rules. Are we all alone here in SA?

Bruce i think Pokerdome is no longer holding the guarantee prize pools.

As for Pokerdome in General. Go to pokernetwork and check out the extra 800k in Main event thread in their forums.

Hey! Stop poaching my players.

Mondays we have just started up at the Cobby Club.

Why go to a noisy 100+ runner event playing for thou$and$ in cold hard ca$h, when you can come to a 45 runner event and win a $50 voucher!

The laws here SUCK - I'm sure i've stated it b4 somewhere, but having one set of rules for the Casino, and another for everyone else REEKS of DOGGY DO-DO.

I could go on forever about this "State" we are in (pun included)
If i could describe it in one word - BACKWARDS is the word that springs to mind.

I'm on my footy trip this weekend and we are headed to Mildura (yay!-not). I may just hang around and play Monday night and buy a plane ticket home with the cash i win :D 8-)

Or alternatively i may have to hitchhike home after 50 re-buys!
