A Big Thanks - 2008 Season 1 Final

HI There,

I would first like to again congratulate Steve Crotty for a great win last night.

Also congrats to all others that made the final table.

I'd like to Thank NPL for putting on a very professional, well structured & fun event. This was my second season of playing & my first state final. I was so excited to make the top 30, then the adrenelin grew as people dwindled out & all of a sudden we started the final table. I can't express my happiness at coming in Second. Although first would have been nice!!! I think by that time I had run out of luck as all the spectators would have seen!!!! To Brett, Garth & all the staff you did a great job. Moose, Grant, Nick - the only three I know, thanks for your support & kind words during the night. Thanks to all those spectatiors that hung around till 2:30 am to see the finish. A special thanks to Paul & Lana who hang around to support me & drive me home.

Thanks to Michael, who came in 3rd, a Bremen buddy. At the start of the 2nd session as we were walking in to start, he said to me "See you at the final table", well I just laughed at him, as if, me? on the final table!!!! Well............

Having qualified through the Bremen, I technically represented them in the final, however, thanks to Nick dealing me some incredible cards (& i mean INCREDIBLE!!!) I said I would represent the Payneham, So Nick & Moose - you guys fight it out!!!! I'm sure there would've been more of a discussion about it had I won!!! So once again, thanks so much NPL. You are a professional competition. It's great to play where rules are respected & followed. To know you can go out & have a great night of poker and in yesterday's situation, a great morning, day, night & morning again of poker playing!!!!
