5 cards on the board.
Even though you know your opponent has AA and you are drawing to 2 cards.

You say this like its a bad thing gunny
its called setting an image, thats the whole point
You have no idea how many times you have folded to my @#$% all.
No I wasnt as a bad thing more the point that the bulk of the players at the table were CALL, CHECK players that show little aggression.
With you Mega and myself gone from the table it became a fairly passive table rarely a re raise was seen. (Which is a very common trait for a lot of Waikerie final table players)
What I ment was that I had 5 cards come of which any one of the five could be a King, to improve my hand assuming there was 2 kings left in the deck.
Irrespective of what the odds are, a lot of luck comes into it when there is no more betting and 5 cards to come, I could hit runner runner runner runner and thats luck
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

Yet poker is a game of skill and in the end; luck should never be used as a reasoning as to why you made a play or called.
In the end, who really is going to fold KK there on the final table. With your read on players it could have quite easily being AK or QQ rather than AA. If I can see anyone fold KK on the final table of a regular NPL event I will shout them an ice cream.
But if you feel behind and have a read you shouldn't be making a call based on "five cards to come, I feel lucky". Calls should be made based on odds and expected value.

Re: Cowboys shotup in a shotout.
if you fold kings EVER in a standard NPL game, then you are a bad player.
if you run into aces instead of AK, or QQ, then you say bad luck it wasn't your night.

Re: Cowboys shotup in a shotout.
same thing happened to me two weeks ago.
Im in mid position with KK, UTG raises, i put in a large re-raise and the button shoves for lots.
hmmm. what hand could it be other than aces??? Possibly QQ, but im sure a person with AKoff here would prob just flat it.
I was sure he had aces, positive. But i called anyway. And he showed aces.
But KK is a hand i have never layed down pre-flop. QQ a few times, but never KK.

Re: Cowboys shotup in a shotout.
I was sitting at that table at the time
And i remember thinking how obvious it was too me that he had aces as well and the shock of you going out early with KK
but your right, never going to lay them down, and from memory I think he would have made the same play with AK.

I folded AA at the last States.
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become
