There's a huge difference between:

- You have 10 4 don't you (on a 10 10 4 flop)

and

- You have an ace don't you.

I was at the table, and I have to say it was one of the worst tables to be sitting at.

Harps was caught in the middle of a 'war' between two players, who were seriously trying to outdonk each other. It was a friendly 'war' but very hard to steer clear of as another player at the table.

The truth of the matter was pre or post flop, all the chips were going in, because the villian had already commited chips to the pot and his main objective was to have more chips in front of him than his mate. And yes I know that we all have these kind of nights at the table, but I do totally understand Harps' frustration.

In my opinion, I don't think there was any way he could have gotten away from the hand. He clearly indicated to the villian with his bet that he had the better hand (which he did at that point in betting), but you can't stop someone from chasing.

It's true sometimes you can't stop some people chasing - but you CAN fold when the card(s) they are obviously drawing to lands on the turn.

Gmatical , Yes my call was worse its in the title for this thread .
I could of & should of gotten out of the hand .I knew that when turn card came over ,
But being between these 2 players with what i had left . I couldn't see myself getting much further .

You have to be pretty stupid to chase a hand knowing that it's still 2nd best if it hits??
Although it is possible they didnt know correct hand rankings, one night I was rather surprised when the player next to me was allin on the turn with 2 live callers, showed me her cards (quad 8s) and whispered into my ear "I hope the flush doesnt complete!"...
She really thought a flush would beat her quads!
