Hi Guys,

Welcome to the Beginners Forum, this is the place you should come to pose any of your strategy questions or ask for help with understanding any of theory behind poker.

My brother, Brett Kay, has written quite a few good articles on pot odds and calculating your equity in hands. I suggest you read these (they should be moved to this thread and stickied very shortly).

In here we will mainly discuss tournament strategy but we do have some guys who grind micro stakes cash that will be able to help you out with those questions.

We will soon post some rules and have them stickied here as well, so please read these before posting.

We all had to start somewhere and we understand that at any stage of your development as a poker player there is no such thing as a stupid question! Rather we ask that you listen and try to understand what the senior posters are trying to say and at all times do not be results orientated: "But I won didn't I?" should never be voiced by a learning poker player.
