Goodwood Park Hotel

Postby BigPete33 » Tue Nov 13, 2007 6:02 pm

This venue is AWESOME!

I cannot fathom why it doesn't regularly get more players. Lift your game people! :)

Like being stuck at home on a monday night? Me either, so next monday head on down to the 'Goody' (located on Goodwood Rd, Goodwood) and have yourself a good evening of poker. There's plenty of space, a good atmosphere (video jukebox!) and the service is great.

They have a steak special (see piccies) for about $13 - I honestly can't remember because I was too excited once they told me it was a 500g rump steak, and this gets you 4 stamps, as does any meal. Stamps for drinks are 1 stamp for softies, 2 stamps for any alcohol and as already mentioned 4 stamps for a meal. The lovely bar staff provide a drinks waitress service during play so you don't have to leave the table to satisfy your thirst.

Regular TD is James - who always does a good job. Might even put him on my list of favourites :P

No, I'm not sure - due to afore mentioned excitement, I just started diving for my wallet and handing over money :)

It's definitely a special they have (and it might have even come with a beer!) and it's definitely a full card. I think I'm pretty close with that price tho.

God I love steak.

I'll ask TD James to confirm for us........ James, when you read this fix that up for me will u? :)

Just thought I shall throw in my $0.02 worth.

The Goodwood Park Hotel is one of my favourite venues. If it was not for my tennis commitments I'd play there every week. The staff are great, the food is fantastic and the players are cool (maybe I am the exception to that).

Definitely worth a visit.
