last night in venue

Postby 666HARPS666 » Tue Jul 13, 2010 4:18 pm

G'day , @ venue last night , As the dealer was dealing last 2 cards (10 seater) , I saw the cards I shook my head & called miss deal . 2nd time in a row same dealer "other time some cards were upside down in deck " looked @ my cards . When the dealer asked why was it a miss deal? Too that i threw 1 of my J,s over & said you have the club .

Well the abuse that was targeted @ me  from the dealer " well reminded me why i got banned ;) "
I know i did the right thing everyone else @ the table agreed ,even cutoff who had AA said i did the right thing .

In the past when i have seen players cards ,I have said that i have seen your cards ,& mucked mine even though i have been in front .

Did i do the right thing or should i of just mucked my hand & said nothing ?

So if I follow this correctly you saw an opponents cards then mucked yours?

You are doing everything wrong in this scenario.

1.) You declare you saw a card and declare it to the table.
2.) Player then exposes their card to all on the table and keeps on dealing.
3.) exposed card becomes the burn card adn player is dealt the burn card as a replacement.

Is it never a mis deal, it just requires information to be shared equally. Did you ever think to perhaps ask a TC your question?

But you mucked yours? Why? Did you ask for a ruling?

Not thinking i suppose Garth , we got him to deal again . 3rd time all went ok .

So what do i do if i,m in a hand & i see some one else's cards (i.e. they lift their cards of the table ,which some people do a alot )
Do i declare to that player i have seen their cards ? In the past i have always declared then mucked my cards .

No need to muck yourself out Harps if a player cant look at their cards without broadcasting them. Just let them know that they need to conceal them better.

Same deal if the dealer is dealing too high, let the dealer know that you can see the cards (you are probably not the only one seeing them). Always ask TC for a ruling if there is any doubt so that everyone at the table can learn the ruling for future reference.

Tell the TC then and get them to keep telling them.

Harps,

You just declare the hole cards to the table and let everyone know what you saw. Player must expose his hole cards to the whole table if you are correct to confirm information is true. Hand is played out as normal.

Player is warned about exposing cards and if continues to breach this rule then he is sat out for one orbit of the table.

In the above action you muck out of turn and expose intentionally;something I would give a two to three orbit penalty for if it was a secondary breach.
