If you thought he had an ace, why not peel a free card, knowing that he won't fold. Did you think the ace was a good bluff card yourself? Was your plan to bet/fold this card but you ended up getting pretty much priced in by Trishan's sucky raise sizing?

this is pretty much my exact thinking.

after i cbet the flop, the A is a great card for me, because it allows me to rep Ax. but if i get raised a huge amount, i was definitely planning on folding.

now trishan basically min raises, and it to me it looks like its a raise for value. if he wants to continue with K9, or TT/JJ/QQ, he calls. if he wants to turn any sort of hand into a bluff, then i think he shoves.

so basically, i put him on either a set or AK/A9, and i thought that he would basically never fold the river.

against that range, i have either 7 or 9 outs, which gives me 15-20% equity. this is marginal based on the pot odds, but i thought he was never folding, so i had definite implied odds.

when trishan SNAP called the river, i was pretty surprised to see AJ here. i was expecting A9 or a set really.

When I say "horrible", I mean horrible as in I got sucked out on as favourite. Then after that hand lost a 60-40 for my last chips. Was a horrible end to the tournament.
