I know of the incident/s that are occurring in Gundog's region.
Unfortunately situations like these does put me in a difficult situation. It basically boils down to word against word, accusations, rumors and innuendo spreading and in the end there is still not much I can do unless myself or a TD captures someone in the act.
Ladies and Gentleman I would like to repeat that if you think anything suspect is going on speak to your TD immediately or contact me directly, do not sit on it and wait until after the tournament is completed or for several days to contact me in regards to these situations.
I would also like to add that sometimes there is a miscommunication between players or a player perceiving something completely different to what it was, and a harmless and innocent action becomes a case of player's cheating or doing something dishonorable. Also some player's are unaware of what collusion or soft playing is and it is the priority of veteran player's and TD's to educate the etiquette of poker to these new players.

Now in saying all of the above, we have had 4 allegations this season of player's cheating, soft playing or collusion. This is 4 incidents for 4 different player/s out of 20,000+ members. This is a very small minority of all of our possible players.
We will implement seating allocation if a venue does prove to have continuous problems and it has been identified that several players there could possibly be colluding or rorting the system.
The biggest problem we have with players is passport fraud and stamp theft, some player's have taken it upon themselves to gain advantage by either stealing stamps and stamping up cards or holding on to previous event passports and using them at venues, the penalties for the above actions will become more severe.

In contact with Darren?
Why?
Scott, Darren cops enough calls on my behalf rather than instructing players to do so as well.
Apparently I'm scary to some staff and player's.

I can take a lot of comfort in that I observed Garth up river friday night and he took the time to listen and speak with a number of players with their concerns on how some things have occured on some occasions.

Garth cannot wave a magic wand and fix everyone concerns but he can put processes in place to limit the perceived wrong doings.

Hope you didnt get a belly ache from all those grapes

Nope, no belly ache.
I spoke to several players as well as taking care of several other issues.
It is a difficult situation and to be quite honest there is not a lot I can do in regards to these incidents. Both Todd and myself have discussed issues and will implement different processes next season.

I will always take any perceived wrong doings seriously, we wish the integrity of this competition to be of paramount importance to players and staff. But without the support and understanding of players it is very difficult to monitor all players at all times.

And trust me when I say that I do believe that there will be incidents of cheating, fraud and collusion. There is not a doubt in my mind that sometimes these things occur. The problem is trying to prove and justify suspensions or elimination from the tournament or competition without doing so unjustly and with 100% proof.
